ATTENTION BAUHAUS FANS!
ATTENTION BAUHAUS FANS!

ATTENTION PEOPLE WHO HAS ONDEMAND COMCAST! If you go to the music section, select "MTV2", then "rock" and go down the list. You'll see Subterranean Goth. In Subterranean Goth there is Peter Murphy from (Bauhaus) of course and Gerard Way from (My Chemical Romance). I know. Peter is sitting next to Gerard. They seemed to get along. There is one Bauhaus music video in there and other gothic videos. Check it out. And Peter Murphy doesn't deny that he's not goth anymore. lol.

This is Peter at his most recent! He is old and balding! Yes, some of you might say "I hate My Chemical Romance."

This is what I'm talking about. Click that to see a short clip of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikTShVNmc8o
It's not the whole thing though. You have to watch whole thing on ondemand comcast.

Name's Christine. new here.

Once some dumb blonde chick in one of my classes said, "I saw this weird band called BOW-HASS at coachella, they were horrible."
I calmly tried to say, "what band did you go for then??"
she replied, "COLDPLAY."
then I had to restrain myself from ripping her ugly blonde hair out of her rotten skull.
I was JEALOUS in the most horrified way.

oh and I painted mah icon, meh. I wish I had a better picture of it. oh well.

Bauhaus come back
Goth legends to reform
21 Jul 05 - Legendary gothpunkers Bauhaus are reforming.

Former frontman Peter Murphy's UK tour ends tonight at Manchester Academy.

He's promoting his latest solo release, Unshattered, and is also currently in the process of getting the Bauhaus line-up back together to record new material for the first time since 1983.

Peter told 6 Music how it's going:

I've actually been working on reforming the band for the last year. It's come to the point now what we are going to tour here in the winter and do a world tour and an album."

OH MY !!! A NEW ALBUM!! I've been dying for more new Bauhaus since 98' with "This Dog's a Vapour" and the "Severance" cover.

Now if only Tones on Tail would do a reunion show...

Newbie.
I'm Kelly, I'm new, and I'm a baucaholic. I'm not even going to get into how much I love them....I could go on forever.

I don't have too many "crazy" stories about my obsession with them....but the only reason I talked to my ex in the first place was because he was wearing a Bauhaus shirt, and our first big fight was over which one of us was going to buy a Japanese Bauhaus import that we found. Ridiculous, I know.

That's all. Just thought I'd make my presence known.

So, I think one of my coworkers is a baucaholic. Last time we were working together I put in a Bauhaus CD, and after hearing "Bela Lugosi's Dead," she insisted we listen to it over and over.

Every time I've seen her since then she's asked me if I brought the CD.

So here are two drunken Bauhaus stories:

1) Once I decided to paint the Bauhaus face logo on the back of my vest, but I was so stupid drunk that I drew the word "BAHAUS". I didn't realize this till I had stenciled, drawn, painted and double coated the text.
DO'H!!!
I fixed it by putting a patch over it that I repainted (spelled correctly this time).
Here's a pic snapped by drunkrockers.com of the above mentioned vest.

Yes I look like a hunchback and my hawk is looking crushed and mullet-ish. Chaddap.
Oh, and the sexy chick is Sereina, girlfriend of marksplatter.
2) We went to a club called Bricktops in Hollywood. While on the smoking patio we were discussing Bauhaus, Tones on Tail and Love and Rockets when a random guy overheard us. He then initiated a conversation about his film projects. He advised that we keep our eyes open that evening if we were Bauhaus fans. About an hour later he pulled us aside to introduce us to David Jay, who was doing the music for his movies. Fuckin Hollywood.
I thought he was pretty nice, but I didn't know what to say to him, so we only talked for a few minutes. barbednoose thought he was a condescending smartass, but I don't recall too well due to a belly full of beer.

The end.

So, I'm so happy because in the past two weeks, I've not only gotten a Bauhaus CD for free, but I also found a Bauhaus pin to go on my jacket. And I found out my sister loves L&R.

Even "Bela Lugosi's Dead" is good if you've had enough vodka.

Hi!
Hellooo Baucaholics!

A little bit about me: I'm a girl, almost 18, come from South Africa but lived in New Zealand for the last 5 years, I'm really open-minded and I hate people who discriminate!

Ummm, I've only liked Bauhaus for hmmm..about 8 months now, not nearly as much as all of you guys but I can assure you I'm ~obsessed~! I heard of Bauhaus through a Dandy Warhols site or a forum or something, (coz I love the Dandys too) and I heard "Boys" and I was instantly hooked! I searched them up and fell head over heals in love with Daniel Ash <3 (who wouldn't?) And I also LOOOOOVE Peter's voice, it's like the ~King of Voices~! I can go on and on and on about what I love about them, but I don't want to bore you. But their music is soooo damn sexy!

And yea, that's about it, I haven't heard all of their songs, but I'm getting there! My favourite songs are: Hollow Hills, The Three Shadows Part II, Mask, Boys and Terror Couple Kill Colonel, but again, I love all their songs and could just go on and on and on...

Hope I get to join your lovely community!
Love,
Thalie

Proof of my addiction, I think the only reason I like "High Fidelity" is because there are both a Bauhaus shirt and a Love & Rockets shirt in it.

Oh, and I'm Earl, and I've been into Bauhaus for about 3 years now, ever since Lelly told me I should check them out, so I picked up Burning From The Inside.

If anyone is interested, I have found a website that has a lot of different Bauhaus t-shirts and some other merch. I can never find really good Bauhaus shirts offline and when I find them online, I can never seem to get a good selection of shirts. But this place rocks. The website is called Everything English, and they also sell stuff from the following bands: The Cure, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, The Damned, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Duran Duran and so forth. They have a good selection of stuff and they aren't too expensive.
